The Crushed Ice-Melter (CIM) efficiently converts ice flakes from the Drum Dumper Ice Crusher into a uniform slurry using double-walled piping and precisely controlled service water. Designed to prevent over-pasteurization, it maintains product temperatures just above freezing for easy downstream transfer. The compact, skid-mounted unit integrates directly with the Drum Dumper system and can operate with either customer-supplied hot water or an onboard heat exchanger.

Key Features

  • Hygienic design compliant with EN1672-2, HACCP, EC 1935/2004, and FDA
  • Stainless steel construction: AISI 304 (frame) and AISI 316 (piping)
  • Pressure-rated design in accordance with PED 2014/68/EU and EN13480/ASME B31.1
  • Double-walled pipe system with static mixers and temperature sensors
  • Integrated steam/water heat exchanger (steam version) with 600 L buffer tank
  • Proportional valves and circulation pumps for precise temperature control
  • Continuous water circulation prevents freezing; auto-stop avoids pasteurization
  • Bypass function available when melting is not required (e.g., concentrates)
  • CIP-ready with cleaning-in-place compatibility and no disassembly required
