From the most powerful and dynamic POWDER-max to the most simple SIMPLE-blend, Ampco Applied Products team can customize the system best suited for your application.
Easy to disperse products like sugar, powder and flavorings requiring less shear can be mixed very efficiently with the DRY-blend or SIMPLE-blend Systems. More challenging products such as carbopol, cellulose gum, xanthan gum, finished hummus and more can all be effectively blended with Ampco’s POWDER-max or SHEAR-blend Systems.
Powder Max
Ampco’s Applied Products POWDER-max reduces processing time and provides optimal product consistency with no batch size limitations. An innovative design allows PM Powder Mixers to quickly blend wet and dry ingredients in a single, fully portable unit.
The POWDER-max combines Ampco’s SP Series liquid ring pump and the SBH Shear Blender in-line to facilitate limitless production runs.
Five standard models are available and the POWDER-max can be customized for a multitude of processing requirements.

Simple-Blend
The SIMPLE-blend from Ampco is a lower cost option with a simplified design. The system is designed to induce powders at a highly efficient rate with minimal shear. The Ampco SP Series pump powers this unit and the self-priming SP provides the suction for the induction process. A typical application for the SIMPLE-blend unit would require little to no shear and induce easily dissolved products.
The consistent flow of liquid created by the SP liquid ring pump ensures the product is induced consistently from batch to batch. The SIMPLE-blend system is CIP-able, and is designed and assembled with clean-ability and ergonomics being at the forefront. Trials, rental and leasing options are available.

Dry Blend
The Ampco Applied Products DRY-blend system offers efficient and thorough blending of wet and dry ingredients.
A tube within a tube design – powered by the Ampco AC+ centrifugal pump – eliminates foaming, lumping and fisheyes, and delivers consistent blending with every batch.
The AC+ centrifugal pump offers a balanced and redesigned threaded shaft and impeller nut design that increases seal life. All wetted components are made of 316L stainless steel and the hopper style system can induce up to 350 lbs/min/159 kg/min.
Easy to maintain and operate, the DRY-blend system is suitable for food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, and chemical applications.

Shear Blend
The SHEAR-blend portable table top hopper system is designed for ergonomic small batch blending. All product contact components are made of 316L stainless steel. Although the footprint is small, the power behind the SHEAR-blend system is not. The SHEAR-blend, available in five model sizes uses the powerful Ampco SBI-R Series to induce and blend dry and wet ingredients. The combination of shear teeth and a small central impeller make this an efficient option with the larger models inducing powder at an astounding rate of 300 pounds per minute.
The table is made of 304 stainless round tubing and is built for strength and clean-ability. All manufacturing processes are internally controlled; machining, welding and polishing are all done in house saving time and money. Trials, rental and leasing options are available.
